THE BUSHCRAFT SHOW 2015

Last weekend I created the official show film and photography for the Bushcraft Show 2015. It was a good weekend and the weather played ball with the sun showing it's face and the rain staying away! It is a great opportunity to get creative and produce a set of photography and videography that captures the spirit of The Bushcraft Show. Please see a few images below.

RUNNING LATE

I forgot to post about my Birthday trip (back in late March!). Anne and I ventured up to the Lake District where a few days of bad weather left a blanket of snow over the highlands, and after the bad weather came the good weather! Giving us an opportunity to summit Helvellyn. We left early and managed to safely access the summit above the snow line and we were rewarded with magnificent views. It's a rare treat to be blessed with such fine weather with views over the peaks and out onto the coast in the distance, made even more beautiful with the sun shining and zero wind. NEW SPORT TOURER

I have a great new sport tourer in the form of an MG ZT-T. It's perfect for ClockworkCloud MEDIA with great looks, sportiness and loads of room to shift my equipment for work, play and travel. I have always loved the design of the mark 1 MG ZT-T from when it was first released, and with them being produced in Longbridge only a couple of miles from where I grew up I often saw them around. I now have my hands on a very well cared for mark 1 in Platinum silver. They are fast approaching a modern classic!

SOLAR ECLIPSE

With a bright morning I was convinced I was in for a good viewing of the eclipse, but the cloud soon rolled in and I feel lucky that it showed its face through the cloud at all! With this being the last time to see such a view like this within the UK for around 90 years, I wanted to capture a few images. I am pleased with the outcome considering the cloud that was hindering the view and it truly was a spectacle to remember and a rare opportunity where the sun, moon and earth were aligned in harmony. 

HIDDEN WATERS 2015

I have released a new version of Hidden Waters that was filmed a while back. I recently found the raw footage and felt that a new more up to date edit could be achieved. So I set about creating a new version and was very happy with the results! The outcome is a fly fishing short that gathers momentum and delivers beauty, action and adventure.

I clearly remember capturing this film within the Lake District and the landscape, light, fishing and dedication from both Paul Richardson (the angler) and myself to capture exactly what we wanted to achieve was excellent.

NEW DIMENSIONS - HEXACOPTER BUILD

Building the hexacopter has been a real experience and the way it performs and the technology involved to make it accomplish what it does is truly magic! I really appreciate that we are privileged  to live in a time where this technology is available to us!

Below are a couple of great shots of me flying the hexacopter on a winter morning in the Peak District National Park (thanks for the images that were taken by my Dad!), also there is a link to a video showing the hexacopter in action and the first footage produced. I am really happy with the results and I am looking forward to using this great piece of kit within my creative projects.

HEAVY WINTER IN THE PEAK DISTRICT

It snowed hard through the night and we continued to encounter snow throughout the morning. This mass of snow turned the Peak District into a winter wonderland. I packed my camera bag, got well kitted up and ventured out into the driving blizzard hoping it would eventually clear up to reveal a scene of untouched snow. Luckily... it did! Its such a wonderful experience forging a path through deep untouched snow and was a great opportunity to grab some winter photography. Below are a few of my results.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR

With a wonderful Christmas now behind us and the new year started, its a great time to reflect on the year just gone and the exciting times ahead.

For New Year we camped for several nights in a yurt and with a good layer of snow that hung around from Boxing Day it was a great experience with crisp clear days and the wood burner to keep us warm on the cold nights. Great food, location and company amounted to a real adventure and unusual New Years Eve.

So all that is left to say is 'Happy New Year' and wishing you all an adventurous 2015!
